Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – The UAE Judo Federation announced the participation of 320 male and female players from different age groups.
They represent 27 countries in the Khorfakkan International Championship.
The Federation confirmed in a statement that the tournament is being held in cooperation with the Sharjah Sports Council and Khorfakkan Club. It is scheduled to open next November 1, in the club’s gym, and is the second in the new season 2025 – 2026.
He explained that the list of participating countries includes the UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the Sultanate of Oman, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Iraq, Syria, Palestine, Comoros, Iran, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Brazil, India, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, the United Kingdom, and Colombia.
The organizing committee noted the participation of 5 international players.
Among them are the first seed Asadullah Mahidun, a player for the Tajikistan national team and world youth champion, “under 73 kg”, and 4 players from the Uzbekistan national team in weights of 60, 81, 90, and 100 kg.
For his part, Mohammed bin Thaaloub Al Dirie, President of the Federation, praised the efforts of the Sharjah Sports Council.
He stressed the continuation of cooperation between them, which contributes to supporting the progress of Emirati sports.
He expressed his appreciation to the President and members of Khorfakkan Club for the distinguished preparations for the tournament.
