InfraX and Itron collaborate to develop smart utility solutions

Dubai, United Arab Emirates – InfraX, a subsidiary of Digital Dewa, the digital arm of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, and Itron, a company specializing in network terminal intelligence solutions, signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in developing and deploying next-generation solutions for smart utility systems and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies

Under the memorandum signed during the GITEX Global 2025 exhibition, which concluded yesterday at the Dubai World Trade Centre, the two companies will cooperate in exploring business opportunities and enhancing technical cooperation across key sectors including smart meters, energy management, and smart city platforms.

Which contributes to accelerating the development of InfraX’s strong communications infrastructure.

Leveraging Itron’s global expertise in smart energy and water systems.

This aims to enable more efficient and data-driven operations across utility and city systems in the UAE.

Rashid Al-Ahmadi, Chief Operating Officer at InfraX, said that this partnership will contribute to enabling the company to provide smart and interconnected solutions that enhance operational efficiency, sustainability and customer experience.

In support of the UAE’s vision towards a sustainable future based on innovation and technology.

For his part, Ayman Al-Sharif, Vice President of Sales at Itron for the Middle East, said that the two companies will work to provide integrated solutions that enable utility companies and cities to manage their resources more efficiently and sustainably.
