Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Space 42 signed a memorandum of understanding with Autonomus A2Z, a South Korean company specializing in autonomous driving technologies.
This is to establish a joint venture in Abu Dhabi, aiming to deploy and market Level 4 autonomous driving solutions in the Middle East and Africa regions.
The collaboration, announced at GITEX Global 2025, represents a major step towards localizing advanced autonomous driving technologies.
In addition to establishing a sustainable smart mobility system in the UAE.
Hassan Al Hosani, CEO of Smart Solutions at Space 42, stressed that cooperation between local and international companies contributes to the exchange of experiences and knowledge.
This constitutes a pivotal factor in achieving the UAE’s ambitions in the field of self-mobility.
This is in line with Space 42’s strategic pillar, which is its leadership in geospatial analysis services.
For his part, Jihyung Han, CEO of Autonomous A2Z, said that the company is working to expand its success in Level 4 autonomous driving technologies to include the Middle East region.
He explained that through cooperation with Space 42, the company seeks to support the UAE’s national vision in the field of smart and autonomous mobility.
In addition to promoting local innovation and consolidating the region’s position as a leading center in the sustainable transportation sector.
This joint project contributes to consolidating an integrated national system for innovating, developing and marketing self-mobility solutions.
This is in support of the efforts of the Intelligent Self-Driving Systems Council, which aims to enhance strategies, innovation, and investment in the development, adoption, and use of intelligent and self-propelled systems, and to support related activities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
By integrating smart fleets and building specialized competencies, this partnership will enhance operational efficiency, raise safety levels, and support the sustainability goals of companies and cities alike.
It is noteworthy that since 2021, TXAI, Space42’s automated taxi service, has recorded more than 600,000 kilometers of safe self-driving.
It also completed about 20,000 passenger flights without recording any accidents.
Today, its fleet covers the islands of Saadiyat, Yas, Al Maryah and Al Reem, in addition to Zayed International Airport.
