Hangzhou, China – The UAE is participating in the fourth session of the World Digital Trade Fair. It is an official guest of honor alongside the Republic of Indonesia.
Its activities will begin on Thursday and continue until September 29 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, eastern China.
The exhibition is held at the Hangzhou Major Convention and Exhibition Center. It has a total exhibition area of approximately 155,000 square meters.
Which makes it the largest version since its launch in 2022.
It is the only national platform in China specialized in the fields of digital commerce and the economy supported by modern technology.
More than 1,700 exhibiting companies are participating in the exhibition this year. This includes 360 international companies representing more than 20% of the total participants.
This is amid expectations that more than 40,000 specialized visitors will attend. Among them are more than ten thousand international visitors from outside China.
The current edition highlights digital innovations in various sectors. These include artificial intelligence, virtual reality, smart logistics, digital entertainment, e-commerce, and smart cities. Specialized exhibition areas and field and experimental events have been allocated for these sectors.
Major and investment events
The exhibition programme includes eight main events and 34 sub-events and investment events.
Prominent among these are the International Digital Trade Cooperation Forums, Digital Investment Day, and the Silk Road E-Commerce Event.
In addition to a special session in cooperation with BRICS countries, innovation competitions and launch platforms for new digital products.
The UAE is participating with an official national pavilion in the exhibition.
It will showcase the most prominent initiatives and projects in the fields of digital economy, financial technology, artificial intelligence, and smart government solutions.
In a move that reflects the advanced country’s position in adopting the knowledge economy, digital transformation, and creating an economic environment based on innovation and advanced technologies.

The exhibition activities are expected to result in the signing of agreements and memorandums of understanding. These will take place between a number of governmental and private agencies.
