Johannesburg, South Africa – The 3×3 World Wheelchair Basketball Championship, hosted by South Africa from August 1 to 4, will begin tomorrow, Friday, with the participation of the UAE national team.

14 teams are participating in the tournament, divided into three groups. The UAE team is competing in Group One alongside Britain, Egypt, Croatia, and Kenya, while Group Two includes Australia, Poland, South Africa, Malaysia, and Slovenia, while Group Three includes Spain, Canada, Austria, and Portugal.

The national team delegation arrived in South Africa yesterday, headed by Ismail Al-Maraziq, the team manager, and the technical and administrative staff consisting of coach Abbas Akakujki and assistant Tariq Iliasi, in addition to 4 players: Muhammad Hashil Al-Habsi, Jassim Murad Ramadan, Mansour Al-Naqbi, and Muhammad Al-Hamid Al-Hashemi.
