Damascus, Syria – Syria has received its first two Airbus A320 aircraft, a significant step in its efforts to modernize its civil aviation fleet and enhance the efficiency of the air transport sector. This will help improve services for passengers and expand flight routes. The delivery is part of a broader plan to rehabilitate the aviation sector and modernize its fleet, following years of challenges that have impacted air traffic and the ability of airlines to operate more flights.

The introduction of these two aircraft is expected to bolster operational capacity and increase the number of flights. It will also provide additional travel options and enhance air connectivity between Syria and several regional and international destinations. Efforts to develop the sector also include improving airport infrastructure and raising service standards. This aligns with the growing demand for air travel and the needs of the air transport sector. The arrival of the two Airbus aircraft reflects Damascus’s commitment to revitalizing the aviation sector and strengthening its operational capabilities. This is part of broader efforts to develop the transportation system and support economic activity.
