Abu Dhabi, UAE – Abu Dhabi National Oil Company “ADNOC” and Abu Dhabi National Energy Company S.A. announced.M.On “Energy”, signing an agreement.
This is to purchase utility services for a period of 27 years.
With the aim of providing the “Tanzeef” industrial chemicals area in Al-Ruwais Industrial City with basic utility services.
The agreement includes the establishment of a station to provide and supply utility services.
Under the agreement, ADNOC and Taqa will work jointly to develop the central utilities project, which includes connection to the electricity grid, steam production, and cooling of industrial processes.
In addition to the various water and wastewater facilities needed to enable “enhancement” projects for chemicals and transitional fuels.
“Enhancement” is a joint venture between ADNOC and Abu Dhabi Development Holding Company (ADQ) – Abu Dhabi.
The agreement is a significant step in the development of the “Tanzeef” system, which will contribute to accelerating industrial diversification in the UAE.
It is scheduled to produce 4.7 million tons of chemicals annually with the start of production in 2028.
This includes methanol, low-carbon ammonia, polyvinyl chloride, ethylene chloride, vinyl chloride monomer, and caustic soda.
The electricity generation and water desalination business sector in Taqa recently announced a number of new projects for power generation and water desalination plants in the region.
Including the Al Dhafra gas turbine plant project with a capacity of 1 gigawatt here in the UAE.
In addition to two new high-efficiency power plants with a capacity of 3.6 gigawatts, namely “Ramah 2” and “Al-Nuairyah 2” in Saudi Arabia.
This is done in partnership with Geera and Al-Bawani Group.
