Abu Dhabi, UAE – Mohammed Jamil Al Ramhi, CEO of «Masdar», said that the activities of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2026 coincide with the twentieth anniversary of the founding of Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company «Masdar».
Which has been hosting this global event since its launch in 2008.
Over two decades, it has also succeeded in establishing its leadership and role as a reliable partner and major contributor to the renewable energy sector at the global level.
Al Ramahi added, on the sidelines of the sixteenth session of the General Assembly of the International Renewable Energy Agency «IRENA», that «Masdar» is today one of the largest specialized renewable energy companies and the fastest growing in the world with a wide project portfolio extending to more than 40 countries.
He pointed out that the company has so far come more than halfway towards achieving its goal of reaching a production capacity of 100 gigawatts by 2030.
He stressed that 2025 was an exceptional year for «Masdar».
The value of its existing or committed investments during the year alone amounted to approximately $15 billion, including new assets and projects.
