Dubai, United Arab Emirates – The Ministry of Economy and Tourism and «Expo City Dubai» announced on Tuesday the launch of the first sustainability innovation complex in the UAE.

This initiative aims to redefine the concept of industrial development by combining economic growth, environmental sustainability and social responsibility.

The Sustainability Innovation Park, launched in collaboration with four strategic partners, will serve as a powerful catalyst for sustainable industrial growth, attracting global companies to the country and contributing to accelerating the achievement of its ambitious goals of economic diversification and climate action.

This is in line with «UAE Climate Neutrality Strategy 2050», «UAE Centenary 2071» and «National Investment Strategy 2031».

«Expo City Dubai» is considered the ideal location to launch this complex and support environmentally friendly companies.

Especially those concerned with clean energy, the circular economy and green technologies, in order to reduce the carbon footprint and achieve growth.

Due to its ready-made sustainable infrastructure and a world-class free zone that has won prestigious awards.

In addition to its commitment to achieving climate neutrality by 2050, and its rich legacy in driving sustainable progress and innovation.

It is also distinguished by its strategic location in the middle between Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

This represents a vital logistical link linking Jebel Ali Port to Al Maktoum International Airport, enhancing the efficiency of global trade.

Based on the main strategic agreement with the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, «Intesa San Paolo Bank» will support the establishment of the Green Innovation Zone in Expo City Dubai.

Intesa San Paolo «Intesa San Paolo» is one of the largest banking groups in the Eurozone and the only Italian bank with a presence in the UAE.

As part of its work in the newly launched Green Innovation Zone, Nestlé «Nestle» provides support through the transfer of knowledge and technical expertise.

Meanwhile, «Majar», the National Fund for Corporate Social Responsibility in the UAE, will help direct environmental projects and innovative companies to the Green Innovation Zone through its initiatives such as «Sustainable Impact Challenge» and «Future 100».

Also among the strategic partners is «Palm Med», an industrial company launched from Dubai, which converts palm fronds into high-quality, biodegradable products.
