Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Salem Al Shamsi, Executive Vice President of International Relations at Dubai Chambers, revealed that the volume of Armenian investments in Dubai reached about $383 million (about 1.4 billion dirhams) during the period from 2018 to 2024.
He pointed out that the number of active Armenian companies registered as members of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce exceeded 500 companies by the end of June of this year.
While 79 new Armenian companies joined the Chamber’s membership during the first half of 2025.
Al Shamsi said, on the sidelines of the trade mission recently organized by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce to the Armenian capital, Yerevan, that this strong growth in the number of registered Armenian companies reflects the growing confidence in the business environment in Dubai.
It also strengthens the emirate’s position as an attractive global center for investment.
He stressed that economic relations between Dubai and Armenia are witnessing rapid growth.
The volume of non-oil trade between the two sides increased during 2024 to 25.7 billion dirhams, an increase of 76% over 2023.
In addition, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce stated that it concluded the activities of its trade mission to Georgia and Armenia by organizing 301 bilateral business meetings in Yerevan between Dubai companies and their Armenian counterparts.
This aims to explore concluding promising partnerships and taking advantage of promising joint trade and investment opportunities.
Within the framework of the mission’s program, the Chamber held a business forum entitled “Doing Business with Armenia”, in cooperation with the UAE Embassy in Yerevan, the Armenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Armenian Ministry of Economy, the Investment Promotion Authority of Armenia, and the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia.
237 senior officials, business leaders, and representatives of local companies participated in the forum.
With the aim of exploring prospects for cooperation and joint work opportunities between members of the trade mission delegation from Dubai companies and their counterparts from the business community in Armenia.
